Teach at MCBA
Calling all experienced book, paper, and print artists!
MCBA is always looking for proposals from new teaching artists interested in teaching in-person and virtual workshops that focus on process, connection, and creativity. MCBA offers competitive compensation and 50% off workshops and studio access opportunities. Details can be found on MCBA’s compensation and benefits PDF.
Proposals are accepted year-round with specific deadlines for every two-month workshop schedule. In-person workshops are scheduled on Thursday nights and Saturdays; virtual workshops are scheduled on Tuesday and Wednesday nights (and select Saturdays). Topics may include book and box making, marbling and paper decoration, papermaking, letterpress printing, screen printing, and related arts. Proposals featuring culturally-specific processes that expand the definition of book, paper, and print are especially welcome.
We prioritize a culture of equity, inclusion, and care for self and community. Members of diverse cultural backgrounds and lived experiences are especially encouraged to submit proposals.
Feel free to reach out prior to writing a proposal by emailing our Director of Education, Anna Bredeson, at abredeson@mnbookarts.org with a title and description of your workshop.
