Todd Thyberg (he/him) runs Angel Bomb, a letterpress and book arts studio where he is fulfilling a lifelong dream to create books. In his work he strives to engage the reader in an ergodic experience; that is, to encourage the reader to do more than simply read and instead engage and interact with the book before them. He does this by using various methods of engagement, from producing QR codes within a letterpress-printed graphic novel that takes readers to interactive online elements that deepen the story, to the process of aging and weathering papers which gives the reader the sense of delving through history. His work varies from activist pamphlets to science fiction and includes his own writing and illustrations.

Thank you

MCBA's educational and artistic programming is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a Minnesota State Arts Board Operating Support grant and an Arts Education grant, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
